Surprise! We’re Having a Baby!

Surprise! Baby B is due Spring 2021!

If you follow me on Instagram, you would have already seen our announcement! It’s been a world wind past few months and we’re so excited to meet our little baby <3

It’s been so hard to keep this secret but we wanted to make sure baby was all ok in the first scan before sharing our news with family and friends. I found the first trimester so hard and am so glad to be into my second trimester now. That non-stop nausea has finally left the building and I am not missing being sick quite so often. It was difficult having to keep it all quiet especially when I was feeling so awful. The one strange blessing was with COVID we’ve been working from home so I haven’t had to worry about the bump, the morning sickness, going off food (and tea!) and it’s been much easier hiding it. We did have 1 factory tour and investigation for work right at the beginning but I somehow managed to make my way through it without any one catching on!

I’m a natural non-stop overthinker and worrier so every twinge and symptom has had me on Dr Google checking to see if anyone else has had a similar experience or if it’s something to be worried about. Since telling family and friends I’ve made the most of being able to see how they coped.

It’s such a relief to finally be out of that first trimester and feeling like myself again! With the first scan coming through all ok, we feel like we can finally get excited 🙂 Also, I’ve got a little baby bump which makes it feel very real!

This has also been the reason I stepped away from Insta and my blog for a few months. All my motivation feel off the side of a cliff and getting through each day felt like an achievement in itself. But in the past month, those symptoms have slowly disappeared and each day I’ve felt more like myself again and all that motivation has come back. Don’t get me wrong I still have some symptoms but my mood has improved 10 fold – the non-stop nausea disappearing probably has something to do with that and that I can finally eat again!

I can’t wait to share more over the coming weeks and months and look out for my recap of my first trimester!

Until next time,

Cathers xx

I am happy for you. I never pregnant but I read that in first trisemester is really tough. Well, you will be as an amazing mother.
