Our Wedding// My Hen Do Revisited – A Weekend in Bath

While I’m on a wedding roll I thought I’d do a recap of my Hen Do! (See here for a recap of Our Wedding and here for a recap of our pre-wedding photo shoot). It’s been so lovely looking back through photos from the wedding and the run up to it. It really was the most incredible time for us both.

My sister couldn’t make it across from the US for my hen do or wedding so one of my best friends Hannah (also my maid of honour) stepped in arranged the most amazing weekend away in Bath. There was no way she was going to let me organise my own hen-do so got the list of friends off me and asked me where I wanted to go. Bath is one of my absolutely favourite places so it was a no brainer to have it there.
We all got to Bath on Friday afternoon and spent the evening catching up and had a chilled evening in drinking and had a bbq which was lovely! It was nice for all my girls to meet before the wedding and get to know each other. As it was also my birthday they’d all gotten me little gifts and I had to guess what was from everyone – such a lovely touch 😊

We stayed in a gorgeous Georgian town house in the centre of Bath. See here for link to house – it was perfect for 10 girls! Enough room to spread out, a comfy living room and a huge kitchen in the basement. I couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Saturday morning was nice and chilled after an evening of lots of Prosecco! Just before lunch we headed out to The Bath Priory for afternoon tea – my fav! We had a whole room to ourselves and the afternoon tea was set up at the side of the room. At the time I wasn’t able to eat wheat along with a friend so we had our own gluten free version. After this we spent time chilling in the gardens and taking lots of pics.

That evening we had a cocktail class in our kitchen which was good fun! (See here for Bath based cocktails classes that come to you) We made 4 different cocktails (cosmo, mojito, blue lagoon and a tequila sunrise). At the time, one of my good friends was working in New Look marketing and made us all goody bags which had lots of small freebies like Benefit mascara, nail varnish, lippy, glitter and jelly beans 😊

After several cocktails we made our way to Be At One for the evening.

This was definitely a weekend of my favourites! Bath, cocktails, afternoon tea and chilling with my friends 😍

Until next time,

Cathers xx
